We need to raise funds to pay our cast and crew, location, equipment rentals, production rentals, food, etc. We do not have a finished film until we finish the remaining scenes. WHY DOES THIS FILM MATTER?
Plain and simple - representation. Made by Latinas, starring Latinas. Representation matters and this film is getting made for many reasons but the biggest one is to continue pushing the limit to what we, as Latinx creators can do to change how we're represented (if at all) in Hollywood.
Logline:
When a prim and proper Latina hellbent on being the perfect wife believes her husband is a serial killer, she must decide whether she can come to terms with and embrace his sinister hobby.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Perfectly Disturbed is almost complete. Four more key scenes remain to be filmed. Once we finish filming these scenes, we'll be able to finalize post production and after that we'll be heading to film festivals!

The principal photography for Perfectly Disturbed was done almost entirely by women apart from our DP Nick, and starred an all Latinx cast! It is our pleasure to share this film with the Latinx community and the broader movie-going community at large.

Pamela Matew: Director/Producer

Pam, aka Pambition, is a first generation Colombian American. She was born in Queens, NY, raised in San Antonio, and living in sunny LA. She has directed, produced, and edited 9 short films in addition to multiple music videos. Pam’s aspiration and goal as a director, is to be the next female Latinx Christopher Nolan or Jordan Peele. Her favorite genre is psychological thriller and her top two favorite films are Inception and Get Out. She loves to give her audience an artistic "mind fuck". Directing is a lifelong passion for Pam and is ready to knock these out of the park. Lastly, Pam is eager to bring on directing mentees to help bring up the next generation of women directors.

Crystal Mojica: Co-Producer

Crystal was born and raised in southeast Los Angeles. She graduated from the University of Southern California and is currently a Production Coordinator at a major entertainment agency. She hopes to become a creative film producer to develop stories that pertain to Latinx culture, social injustices, and fantasy/mythology. This is her first independent project, and she hopes to continue to build on her expertise and interest. She’s inspired by the work of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jordan Peele and Guillermo del Toro. Her aspirations include helping to produce an American-Spanish language film that sheds light onto her upbringing in California as a Mexican-American.

Desiree Ewing: Co-Producer

Desiree Ewing is a Fordham University graduate with a deep passion for storytelling, the queer hispanic experience, and the intersection of media and social justice activism. She has developed her writing skills throughout college and at her various industry jobs, including the pieces that she has written and produced for SYFY Wire at NBC Universal and her work in television development at Goodbye Pictures. She dreams of helping to create groundbreaking content that challenges America's perception of identity and pushes our limited views of the self through television during the new golden age. This will be her first independent project as a co-producer!

Kimberly Lee: Screenwriter

Kimberly Lee's love of words was inspired by her father, an award-winning horror and thriller novelist and short story writer. This combined with her own love of Cinema inevitably drew her to the craft of Screenwriting. Kimberly began learning and writing in the winter of 2020 and was soon seeing success with her work. She won her first screenplay writing challenge in February 2021 and followed that up with another win in her very next challenge. She was brought crashing down to Earth when her third challenge entry in March 2021 'only' came runner up! After much development, her first short script is due to be produced in the summer of 2021.

Nick Harris: Director of Photography

Nick Harris has been producing and shooting professional video and film content in Los Angeles for over 15 years. He made a name for himself in cinematography, shooting feature films, commercials, documentaries, reality television, promos and music videos for a host of demanding, high-production-value-seeking clients such as National Geographic Channel, Time Warner Cable Sports, James Franco’s Rabbit Bandini, Google/YouTube (the official corporations), IMAX, and FNX Network. His even more extensive background in a multitude of creative arts has always propelled him to rise above the competition with unique ideas in storytelling, atmosphere, and engaging images that communicate succinctly with his audience in a way that sticks with them.

“My goal every time out is to create a living, breathing world; an atmosphere which you don’t want to leave, and can’t wait to revisit once you’ve gone.”
